Theodore Hesburgh: Liberal-Leaning Catholic Public Intellectual, Part 2

Two weeks ago I opened up a conversation on the life and legacy of former University of Notre Dame President, Theodore Hesburgh. It had been a few months since I’d written a post for the blog and I fear my introduction to the topic was clumsy. I began by forwarding a key distinction and discussing how I became acquainted with Hesburgh as a historical figure in higher education (i.e. his support for a great books program at the University of Notre Dame).
