CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Ribuffo Prize

In 2019, the Society for U.S. Intellectual History established the Leo P. Ribuffo Prize for Best Dissertation in U.S. Intellectual History. Ribuffo, a revered scholar and exemplary mentor, reshaped the field during his long and illustrious career at George Washington University. The award seeks to honor his life and career by recognizing the distinguished work of emerging scholars and to advance the highest levels of research, writing, and scholarship.

We are pleased to open the call for submissions for dissertations completed and successfully defended in 2021. The award will be given out at the November 3-5, 2022 conference in Boston, MA (Sheraton Boston Hotel). Eligible candidates or their mentors should submit a copy of the dissertation as an attached email, saved as a PDF, to Lisa Szefel, [email protected] by May 15th, 2022. The prize announcement will be made in June 2022.
