Before responding to Robert Adcock, Cara Lea Burnidge, and Amy Kittelstrom, I want to thank them for the time and attention they devoted to my book. I also want to thank them—along with Gene Zubovich, Robert Greene, and Richard Cándida Smith—for their patience as I crafted this long-delayed response.
