It would be pointless and fruitless for me to hide from USIH blog readers my feelings about recent events in Ferguson (Michael Brown), Cleveland (Tamar Rice), New York (Eric Garner), Ohio (John Crawford III), and on and on. I’m appalled. These are not tragedies, but travesties. But, as always at USIH, when things seem bleak we try to look at problems historically.
