While conducting research for another project, I ran across this excellent bibliography on the “History of Communications Research.” Constructed by Jeff Pooley, the composition strikes me as a solid starting point for thinking about the intellectual history of communications and media. The works in Pooley’s bibliography are focused on Western societies, particularly those in North America. A number of historians are listed. – TL
