Lisa Szefel has an essay in the most recent issue of the Montreal Review entitled, “Woody Allen and Wealth.” An associate professor of history at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon, Szefel is also the author of The Gospel of Beauty in the Progressive Era: Reforming American Verse and Values (Palgrave Macmillian, 2011) and is at work on a intellectual biography of Peter Viereck and his role in shaping modern conservatism. Since June 2012, she has also served as the treasurer of S-USIH.
