I’ve spent the last day or two doing a relatively close reading the critic Albert Murray’s South to a Very Old Place (1971). Readers of this blog will probably remember an introduction to Murray from several weeks ago thanks to Robert Greene.I’m not entirely certain what to make of the book as a whole yet, but I thought it would be good to put together a few early thoughts about it.
